The protest ended peacefully on August 7 after bailiffs entered the premises with an eviction order awarded to the company. But the struggle continues to save the only wind turbine factory in the UK.
RMT has joined climate campaigners in calling on the government to nationalise the plant to prove its claims to support green energy alternatives to fossil fuels.
Workers who occupied the factory are to lose their redundancy pay and face other problems with claiming benefits. A hardship fund has been set up to assist these brave RMT members. Send donations to:
