IMPLEMENTATION OF THREE CARRIAGE RUNNING- SERCO DOCKLANDS

ALL INDUSTRIAL ACTION SUSPENDED

Following talks at ACAS yesterday, the following draft agreement was considered by the General Grades Committee:-

Agreed Statement of Intent between RMT and Serco Docklands

The following statement was agreed in the joint RMT/Serco negotiations at ACAS on Tuesday 20th July 2010:

·         The company will make a £600 payment in August 2010 in recognition of the introduction of thee-car operations.

·         On receipt of payment both parties give a commitment to enter into consultation for the implementation of revised walking times and revised spread over times on the basis of implementation by 13th October 2010.

·         It is confirmed that part time positions will be dealt with by consultation with the RMT.

Having taken note of the Lead Officer and Representatives recommendations the General Grades Committee has decided to suspend the proposed overtime ban commencing 00.01 Thursday 22nd July 2010, and the Strike action commencing 04.00 Friday 23rd July 2010.

Therefore all Passenger Service Agents, Panel Patrol Team Leaders and Depot Assistants are instructed to work as normal.

The General Grades Committee has also decided to conduct a referendum with the recommendation to accept the revised offer.

The referendum on the offer will be sent out to all affected members in the very near future and I urge all members to use their vote and vote 'YES'
