TO ALL RMT TAMPER OPERATORS RUISLIP DEPOT – TUBE LINES
7th November 2012
Dear Colleagues
IMPOSITION OF NEW ROSTER, TAMPER OPERATORS, RUISLIP - TUBE LINES
I write to you following the overwhelming ‘Yes’ vote in our ballot for industrial action over the imposition of new rosters. As you are aware, management are attempting to impose new rosters for Tamper Operators at Ruislip Depot without any consultation. We firmly believe that these rosters are being imposed due to our recent industrial action where the overtime ban disrupted work and they now want to bring in contractors and roster weekends to minimise this effect.
Our position is very clear; any changes to rosters should be negotiated with your representatives and will we will not accept any breach of our Framework agreements. In order to put pressure on management to enter into meaningful negotiations over any changes to rosters, your General Grades Committee has decided to call for the following industrial action: -
I urge you to support this action to keep up the pressure on the company and take a firm stand against the imposition of anti-social new rosters. We remain available for talks to resolve this dispute.
I shall keep you updated any further developments.
UNITY IS STRENGTH
Yours Sincerely
Bob Crow
General Secretary
