19th December 2012
Dear colleague,
Rates of Pay & Conditions of Service 2012 – ISS (London Underground)
I would like to congratulate all of you again for the outstanding display of solidarity, resolve and determination that was shown during the previous strike action taken in November.
No attempt has been made by the company to engage in meaningful talks to settle this dispute, despite the efforts of your union’s negotiating team.
Your representatives contacted your union requesting that more strike action is held to try and force management back to the negotiating table. The matter has been re-considered by your union’s executive and it has agreed unanimously to escalate the dispute in the form of further industrial action.
Members are instructed not to book on for any shifts that commence between:-
05:30 on Monday 31st December 2012 to 05:29 on Wednesday 2nd January 2013
I urge you to continue your magnificent support for this action and remain in solidarity with your colleagues in this dispute. Management can be in no doubt that we are determined to win a fair pay settlement and genuine improvements to your terms and conditions.
SUPPORT YOUR UNION – SUPPORT THE ACTION
Yours sincerely
Bob Crow
General Secretary
