STRIKE ACTION SUSPENDED –
WORK SHIFTS AS NORMAL

Dear Colleague,

PROPOSED INTRODUCTION OF STATION HOSTS – GOVIA THAMESLINK RAILWAY

I previously advised you to take strike action on Wednesday 7th September 2016. I can now advise you that the company and our representatives immediately went into talks at the conciliation service ACAS to discuss the company’s proposals. Your negotiating team believed that significant progress was made during such talks and recommended suspension of all industrial action to allow for further discussions to take place. This recommendation was endorsed by your National Executive Committee. Therefore, all industrial action in relation to this issue has been suspended.

Additionally, 28 day Ballot mandate extension has been agreed by both parties in order to keep the ballot mandate live and allow you and your colleagues to take further industrial action if necessary.

I will be writing to you in due course with full details regarding this dispute on the significant progress that has been made.

Yours sincerely

Mick Cash
General Secretary
