ROSTERING, TRAIN MANAGERS – EUROSTAR

Our Ref: BR2/8/2

4th August 2016

Dear Colleague,

ROSTERING, TRAIN MANAGERS – EUROSTAR

I write further to my previous correspondence dated 19th July 2016 with regards to the above matter, in which I advised you of the latest ballot results. The company and your representatives held further talks in the form of an avoidance of dispute meeting on the 27th July 2016 and it was clear that the company refused to address you and your colleague’s grievances. The company stated their position and that it was not willing to make any improvements to the work-share or work-life balance in time for the September 2016 timetable and Master Roster.

Additionally, Eurostar have stated that no changes could be contemplated before February 2017 at the earliest. Please be advised that the National Executive Committee has recently considered this matter and taken into consideration that little progress has been made and no proposals have been forthcoming. Therefore, The NEC has instructed you and your colleagues to take strike action by not booking on for any shifts that commence between the hours of:-

•    0001 Hours on Friday 12th August 2016 and 2359 hours on Monday 15th August 2016.

•    0001 hours on Saturday 27th August 2016 and 2359 hours on Monday 29th August 2016.

I urge you to show support and solidarity and to stand shoulder to shoulder with your colleagues during this industrial action. Eurostar must be left in no doubt that we will not back down until these issues have been resolved.

UNITY IS STRENGTH
SUPPORT THE ACTION

Yours sincerely

Mick Cash
General Secretary
