The union’s National Executive Committee has recently considered the matter and note the above results meet the thresholds imposed due to the anti-trade union laws. The Executive Committee has instructed me to request an urgent report from the Lead Officer and once I have received this report, I will place the matter back before the Executive Committee for further consideration.

On behalf of myself and the Executive Committee, I would like to congratulate our members on delivering a mandate for Strike Action and for Action Short of a Strike.

I trust this keeps you fully advised on the matter and I will, of course, update you on any further developments.

Yours sincerely
