BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, TRAIN MANAGERS (TICKET SCANNING) - AVANTI WEST COAST

 

I write to advise you that the ballot has now closed, and the result is as follows:

 

Are you prepared to take industrial action short of a strike?

 

Number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot:                    387                  

Number of votes cast in the ballot:                                                                272

Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question:                              265

Number of individuals answering “No” to the question:                                7

Number of spoiled or otherwise invalid voting papers returned:                  0                      

 

The Union’s National Executive Committee has considered the above ballot result and congratulates you and your colleagues for once again, delivering a phenomenal result and standing up in defiance against Avanti West Coast.

 

The National Executive Committee instructs all Avanti West Coast Train Manager grade members to take continuous industrial action short of a strike as outlined below: 

 

• Not to use company ticket scanners from 0001 hours on Wednesday 11^th December 2024 until further notice.

 

I ask you all to show your support and stand shoulder to shoulder during the days of industrial action.
