BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, TRAIN MANAGERS (TICKET SCANNING) - AVANTI WEST COAST

 

I write to advise you that the ballot has now closed, and the result is as follows:

 

Are you prepared to take industrial action short of a strike?

 

Number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot:389

Number of votes cast in the ballot:237

Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question:228

Number of individuals answering “No” to the question:9

Number of spoiled or otherwise invalid voting papers returned:0

 

The union’s National Executive Committee has considered this matter and congratulated you and your colleagues for once again delivering a phenomenal result and standing up in defiance against Avanti West Coast.

 

Therefore, the NEC is instructing all Train Manager members at Avanti West Coast to take continuousindustrial action short of a strike as outlined below: 

 

Not to use company ticket scanners from 0001 Hours on Thursday 8^th June 2023 until further note.

 

I ask you all to show your support and stand shoulder to shoulder during the days of industrial action.
