DISMISSAL, A. CODD, TRACK ACCESS CONTROL – LONDON UNDERGROUND

I write to advise you that the ballot has now closed and the result is as follows: -

Are you prepared to take strike action?

Number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot: 28
Number of votes cast in the ballot: 18
Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question: 14
Number of individuals answering “No” to the question: 4
Number of spoiled or otherwise invalid voting papers returned: 0

The number of votes cast in the ballot is at least 50% of the number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot.

The number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question is at least 40% of the number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot.

Are you prepared to take industrial action short of a strike?

Number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot: 28
Number of votes cast in the ballot: 18
Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question: 10
Number of individuals answering “No” to the question: 6
Number of spoiled or otherwise invalid voting papers returned: 2

The number of votes cast in the ballot is at least 50% of the number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot but the vote for action short of a strike failed to meet the 40% threshold of individuals answering “Yes” to the question.

The National Executive Committee is currently considering this result and I shall write to you again shortly.
