I write to advise you that the ballots have now closed, and the results are as follows:

Number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot:                     21

Number of votes cast in the ballot:                                                           15       

Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question:                              14

Number of individuals answering “No” to the question:                                1

Number of spoiled or otherwise invalid voting papers returned:                    0         

 

Are you prepared to take industrial action short of a strike?

 

Number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot:                    21

Number of votes cast in the ballot:                                                           15

Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question:                              15

Number of individuals answering “No” to the question:                                0

Number of spoiled or otherwise invalid voting papers returned:                    0

             

These results exceed the statutory thresholds.

 

Your National Executive Committee has considered this result and congratulates members on delivering a mandate for strike action and for action short of strike action. I will keep members advised of all further developments.
