DISMISSAL – GARY CARNEY – TRAIN OPERATOR - LONDON UNDERGROUND (HAINAULT DEPOT)

 

I write to advise you that the ballot of members at Hainault has now closed and the result is as follows: -

 

Are you prepared to take strike action?

 

Number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot:      45     

Number of votes cast in the ballot:                                         22     

Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question:               12     

Number of individuals answering “No” to the question:                10     

Number of spoiled or otherwise invalid voting papers returned:     0       

 

The number of votes cast in the ballot is not at least 50% of the number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot.

 

The number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question is not at least 40% of the number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot.

 

Unfortunately this means that the statutory thresholds have not been met.

 

The National Executive Committee is currently considering this result and I shall write to you again shortly.
