While you and your colleagues have delivered an overwhelming vote to continue your action, the turnout in the ballot has failed to reach the stringent anti-union laws threshold of 50%. I therefore have to advise you that the action you are currently taking with regard to no electronic scanning of tickets expires on Thursday 18th April.
However, this dispute is by no means over and your union will continue the fight to win payments for you and your colleagues in using new technology. With this in mind, your union’s National Executive Committee has instructed me to convene an urgent meeting of your Lead Officer, Reps and national officers to discuss with the NEC the next steps in this dispute. I will provide the details of the discussions in due course.
Yours sincerely
Michael Lynch
General Secretary
