I write to advise you that the ballot has now closed, and the result is as follows: -

Number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot:            382            

Number of votes cast in the ballot:                                                        259

Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question:                      242

Number of individuals answering “No” to the question:                        17

Number of spoiled or otherwise invalid voting papers returned:          0

 

Are you prepared to take industrial action short of a strike?

 

Number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot:            382             

Number of votes cast in the ballot:                                                       259

Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question:                      249

Number of individuals answering “No” to the question:                        9

Number of spoiled or otherwise invalid voting papers returned:          1                

 

The union’s National Executive Committee has considered this result and congratulated you and your colleagues on delivering a successful mandate. I am now seeking an updated report from the Lead Officer and I will keep members advised of developments on this dispute.
