Rates of Pay & Conditions of Service 2013 – Mitie (First Great Western)

Referring to my previous correspondence where I advised you of the ballot result, I write to you again to inform you that your union’s Executive Committee has considered the matter and has instructed that members take the following strike action:-

Members are instructed not to book on for any shifts between:-

• 06:00 hours on Friday 11^th October 2013 and 05:59 hours on Saturday 12^th October 2013.

Now is the time to stand together with your colleagues in solidarity on the picket lines. A show of strength will show management that you are not prepared to tolerate their refusal to make a fair pay offer and real improvements to your working conditions.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for handing down a solid mandate for strike action. Together we can win this dispute and force management back around the negotiating table to hammer out a satisfactory settlement.
