Rates of Pay and Conditions of Service 2018 – MacGregors

Further to previous correspondence on the above matter, the referendum has now concluded and the result is as follows:-

Question – Are you prepared to accept the offer?

Votes Cast: 9
Voting YES: 8
Voting NO: 1
Spoilt: 0

Noting the result, the union’s National Executive Committee has instructed me to inform the company of our acceptance of the offer. This instruction has been carried out and I have requested that the increase and any back monies are paid at the earliest opportunity.

I would like to congratulate all MacGregors members for their solidarity and support which has enabled us to reach this position. The magnificent action which you took in June brought the company back into line; additionally you were prepared to take further action in November demonstrating your complete resolve to achieve pay justice. Without these outstanding displays of solidarity, the RMT would not have been able to negotiate your above inflation pay award.

The union will of course remain vigilant going forward to ensure that the company abides all our agreements.
