RATES OF PAY & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2018 – ROYAL FLEET AUXILIARY

I write to advise you that the ballot has now closed and the result is as follows: -

Are you prepared to take strike action?

Number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot: 645
Number of votes cast in the ballot: 321
Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question: 257
Number of individuals answering “No” to the question: 62
Number of spoiled or otherwise invalid voting papers returned: 2

Are you prepared to take industrial action short of a strike?

Number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot: 645
Number of votes cast in the ballot: 321
Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question: 293
Number of individuals answering “No” to the question: 28
Number of spoiled or otherwise invalid voting papers returned: 0

Unfortunately, despite members voting for industrial action, the statutory thresholds have not been met in respect of this ballot.

The National Executive Committee is currently considering this result. I shall write to you again shortly.
