RATES OF PAY & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2019 – LEADEC (WEST COAST TRAINS CONTRACT)

I write to advise you that the ballot has now closed and the result is as follows: -

EUSTON AND WEMBLEY

Are you prepared to take strike action?

Number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot: 73
Number of votes cast in the ballot: 22
Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question: 22
Number of individuals answering “No” to the question: 0
Number of spoiled or otherwise invalid voting papers returned: 0

Are you prepared to take industrial action short of a strike?

Number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot: 73
Number of votes cast in the ballot: 22
Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question: 22
Number of individuals answering “No” to the question: 0
Number of spoiled or otherwise invalid voting papers returned: 0

Unfortunately, despite members voting for industrial action, the statutory thresholds have not been met in respect of this ballot.

Number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot: 195
Number of votes cast in the ballot: 111
Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question: 104
Number of individuals answering “No” to the question: 5
Number of spoiled or otherwise invalid voting papers returned: 2

The above result exceeds the new legal thresholds and the National Executive Committee is currently considering this result.
