RATES OF PAY AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2022 – MITIE SECURITY (EUROSTAR CONTRACT)

 

Further to our previous correspondence, the e-referendum has concluded, and the result is as follows:-

 

Votes Cast:                                 105 (73%)

Number Voting ‘Yes’:                     49 (47%)

Number Voting ‘No’:                      56 (53%)

 

For reference, the rejected offer is as follows:-

 

  • Guaranteed Hours - As the teams work a 7.75-hour shift, the company is prepared to increase their offer to 4 shifts across the 9-day rota which totals 31 hours. As agreed, those on flexible shifts, will remain the same as this is most suitable to them.

 

  • The company is able to improve its original offer and increase the pay rates as follows: 

 

    • 3% from 12th April 2022
    • 3% from 1st September 2022
    • 3.97% from 1st December 2022 (up from 3.6)

 

  • Compounded over the year, this equates to 10.3% increase and will take the base line rate to £14.05 per hour at SPI 

 

  • The company agrees to offer the officers and Supervisor at Temples the same rate of pay as those at SPI on post position and post supervisor pay rate

  

  • The company are prepared to hold discussions separately on £30 premium for working unsocial hours in the future.
