RATES OF PAY AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2023 – ALSTOM CREWE

 

I write to advise you that the ballot has now closed and the result is as follows:

 

Are you prepared to take strike action?

 

Number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot:        15                                

Number of votes cast in the ballot:                                                    13                    

Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question:                  7                      

Number of individuals answering “No” to the question:                    6                      

Number of spoiled or otherwise invalid voting papers returned:      0                      

            

The Union’s National Executive Committee has noted that the above result meets the thresholds imposed by the anti-trade union laws and congratulates members for delivering a successful mandate for strike action in addition to the action short of a strike which is already in place. 

 

As a reminder, members at Alstom Crewe have been instructed to undertake the following continuous industrial action short of a strike:

 

Not to undertake any rest day working, or overtime, and not to work any higher-grade duties from:

 

• 00:01 hours on Friday 17th November 2023 until further notice

 

I urge you to stand firm together and support the industrial action until this matter is resolved. I will keep members advised of any further developments.
