I write to advise you that the ballots have now closed, and the results are as follows: 

 

Are you prepared to take strike action?

 

Number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot:                  70      

Number of votes cast in the ballot:                                                     40      

Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question:                          37

Number of individuals answering “No” to the question:                           3

Number of spoiled or otherwise invalid voting papers returned:                0       

 

Are you prepared to take industrial action short of a strike?

 

Number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot:                  70

Number of votes cast in the ballot:                                                     40

Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question:                          35

Number of individuals answering “No” to the question:                           5

Number of spoiled or otherwise invalid voting papers returned:                0

 

Your National Executive Committee has considered this result and has congratulated members on your continuing steadfast resolve. It instructed me to advise the employer of our rejection of the offer. Further consultation will take place with members and representatives and I will keep members informed of all further developments.
