Rates of Pay and Conditions of Service 2025 – OCS (Alstom Avanti West Coast Contract)

 

Referring to previous correspondence, I write to advise you that the ballot has now closed and the result is as follows:

 

Question: Are you prepared to take strike action?

 

Number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot:       277                        

Number of votes cast in the ballot:                                          118              

Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question:               106                        

Number of individuals answering “No” to the question:                12                

Number of spoiled or otherwise invalid voting papers returned:     0                                               

Question: Are you prepared to take industrial action short of a strike?

 

Number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot:       277                        

Number of votes cast in the ballot:                                          118              

Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question:               105

Number of individuals answering “No” to the question:                13                

Number of spoiled or otherwise invalid voting papers returned:     0        

                                                 

Despite members voting positively for industrial action, the statutory thresholds in this ballot have not been met.  

 

The union's National Executive Committee is considering this result and I will write to you again shortly.
