RATES OF PAY & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2025 – ORKNEY FERRIES

 

I write to advise you that the ballot has now closed and the result is as follows:-

 

Are you prepared to take strike action?

 

Number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot:             26

Number of votes cast in the ballot:                                                      22

Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question:                       7          

Number of individuals answering “No” to the question:                        15        

Number of spoiled or otherwise invalid voting papers returned:           0

 

Are you prepared to take industrial action short of a strike?

 

Number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot:             26

Number of votes cast in the ballot:                                                      22        

Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question:                       22        

Number of individuals answering “No” to the question:                        0

Number of spoiled or otherwise invalid voting papers returned:           0          

 

The referendum has also concluded with members’ voting as follows:

 

Total Votes Cast:                      15

Number Voting ‘Yes’:                0

Number Voting ‘No’:                 15

 

The National Executive Committee has considered this matter and taken the decision to inform the Company of our members’ rejection of both offers and seek an updated report from your Lead Officer. Also, to arrange a meeting with your Lead Officer, RMT Reps and Aberdeen Shipping Branch.
