RE-ORGANISATION AND REDUNDANCIES – HEATHROW EXPRESS
Further to my letter dated 11th July 2014 in relation to the above, I understand that Heathrow Express have invited you to attend a one to one interview at which they will explain to you their plans for the reorganisation. While your union continues to be in dispute with the company over its overall plans in this matter, I would advise members to attend these meetings but request that they be accompanied by an RMT representative, as is your right under section 10 of the Employee Relations Act 1999. If management refuse you representation, then you should insist that it be minuted for the record that your request to have a representative in attendance was refused.
I would also advise you not to agree to anything at the meeting - unless, of course, you wish to do so. Guidelines suggest you should have 10 days to consider any offer the company makes to you at the meeting.
