Redundancies – Alstom

You and your colleagues recently took part in a referendum on the company’s redundancy and restructuring proposals. The referendum has closed the result is as follows:

Are you prepared to accept the company’s proposals?

Total votes cast 91

Number voting YES 65

Number voting NO 26

Your union’s National Executive Committee has noted the result and instructed me to advise the company of our acceptance.

The NEC and I also wish to place on record our thanks and appreciation of the diligent work and efforts of the Lead Officer and your representatives throughout the difficult negotiations. I would also like to thank you and your colleagues for showing appreciation of your reps by voting to accept the proposals and supporting your union’s position.
