ROLE & RESPONSIBILITY OF THE GUARD – MERSEYRAIL

Further to my letter dated the 20th June 2022 with regards to the above matter, I can now advise you that the referendum of our affected members has closed and the result is as follows:

Total Eligible to Vote: 215
Total votes cast: 181 (84%)
Total voting "Yes" to accept the company’s proposals: 114 (63%)
Total voting "No" to reject the proposals: 67 (37%)

The matter has been subject to recent consideration by the union’s National Executive Committee who note the result of the referendum and I have been instructed to inform the company of our acceptance.
