I write to advise you that the ballot has now closed, and the result is as follows: -

Number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot:                 704     

Number of votes cast in the ballot:                                                     326

Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question:                          308

Number of individuals answering “No” to the question:                           18

Number of spoiled or otherwise invalid voting papers returned:               0

 

Are you prepared to take industrial action short of a strike?

 

Number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot:                 704               

Number of votes cast in the ballot:                                                     326     

Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question:                          308

Number of individuals answering “No” to the question:                           16

Number of spoiled or otherwise invalid voting papers returned:               2                  

 

The matter has been considered by the union’s National Executive Committee who note that the above results do not meet the thresholds imposed by the anti-trade union laws. Therefore, I have been instructed to seek an updated report from the Lead Officer.
