I write to advise you that the ballot of our Senior Conductor members has now concluded and the result is as follows:

Are you prepared to take strike action?

Number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot: 107
Number of votes cast in the ballot: 71
Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question: 55
Number of individuals answering “No” to the question: 16
Number of spoiled or otherwise invalid voting papers returned: 0

Are you prepared to take industrial action short of a strike?

Number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot: 107
Number of votes cast in the ballot: 71
Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question: 70
Number of individuals answering “No” to the question: 1
Number of spoiled or otherwise invalid voting papers returned: 0

Your union’s National Executive Committee is currently considering this result and I shall revert back to you in due course.
