Our Ref: DLR/4/1

25th July 2024

Dear RMT Member,

THIRD PARTY DISMISSAL BY KAD – MMADUKA JOSHUA OBI, ISS (KAD CONTRACT)

I write to advise you that the ballot has now closed and the result is as follows:-

Are you prepared to take strike action?

Number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot:        19

Number of votes cast in the ballot:                                                    6

Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question:                  6

Number of individuals answering “No” to the question:                    0

Number of spoiled or otherwise invalid voting papers returned:      0

Are you prepared to take industrial action short of a strike?

Number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot:        19

Number of votes cast in the ballot:                                                    6

Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question:                  6

Number of individuals answering “No” to the question:                    0

Number of spoiled or otherwise invalid voting papers returned:      0

Unfortunately, despite a vote in favour of taking action the statutory thresholds have not been met in respect of this ballot. The union's National Executive Committee has taken the decision to re-ballot members and I will advise you of the timescales very shortly.

I urge you all to make sure you use your vote to ensure a 50% turnout in the ballot, which will allow RMT to demand that the Company resolves this dispute and restores Brother Obi’s employment with ISS.

Yours sincerely

Michael Lynch

General Secretary
