TIMEGATE SIGNING ON SYSTEM – ATALIAN SERVEST (ALSTOM AVANTI WEST COAST CONTRACT)

 

I write to advise you that the ballot has now closed, and the result is as follows: -

 

Are you prepared to take strike action?

 

Number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot:       300               

Number of votes cast in the ballot:                                           123     

Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question:                120     

Number of individuals answering “No” to the question:                 3        

Number of spoiled or otherwise invalid voting papers returned:     0        

 

Are you prepared to take industrial action short of a strike?

 

Number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot:       300                         

Number of votes cast in the ballot:                                           123     

Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question:                119     

Number of individuals answering “No” to the question:                 4        

Number of spoiled or otherwise invalid voting papers returned:     0                            

 

The union’s National Executive Committee has recently considered the matter and notes that the above results do not meet the thresholds imposed due to the anti-trade union laws. Therefore, I have been instructed to seek an update report from the Lead Officer and once I have received the report, I will place the matter back before the Executive Committee for further consideration.
