I write to advise you that the ballot has now closed and the result is as follows: -

Are you prepared to take strike action?

Number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot: 31
Number of votes cast in the ballot: 29
Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question: 25
Number of individuals answering “No” to the question: 4
Number of spoiled or otherwise invalid voting papers returned: 0

Are you prepared to take industrial action short of a strike?

Number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot: 31
Number of votes cast in the ballot: 29
Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question: 27
Number of individuals answering “No” to the question: 2
Number of spoiled or otherwise invalid voting papers returned: 0

Both of the above results exceed the new legal thresholds and the National Executive Committee is currently considering this result. I shall write to you again shortly.

However, as you are aware the mandate from the previous ballot expires tomorrow and therefore all Advanced Train Maintainer, Duty Maintenance Manager and Team Leader (Train Maintenance) Grades are instructed to cease the overtime and rest day working ban and work as normal from 23:59 hours on Wednesday 6th June 2018, until further notice.

Are you prepared to take industrial action short of a strike?

Number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot: 50
Number of votes cast in the ballot: 44
Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question: 42
Number of individuals answering “No” to the question: 2
Number of spoiled or otherwise invalid voting papers returned: 0
