AUTOMATIC SELECTIVE DOOR OPENING
AND SELECTIVE DOOR OPENING (ASDO/SDO)

I write further to Head Office Circular Reference Number HSR/2/6, 28th April 2021.

Your National Executive Committee (NEC) met on 6 May 2021 to discuss correspondence from ORR (Office of the Rail Regulator) in response to an RMT letter outlining our concerns in relation to the introduction of ASDO/SDO on Arriva Rail North on their class 195/331 units.

In connection with this when your NEC met on 28th April they noted and adopted the following report:

We note the response on file from Ian Prosser HM Chief inspector of Railways, that he has asked his principal operations specialist to make some enquiries.

Also, that he will respond more comprehensively in due course.

I will keep you advised of developments.
