Dear Colleague,

CAMPAIGNING FOR MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLBEING AT WORK

I am pleased to inform members that the above pamphlet has now been published and can be accessed online at: http://bit.ly/38lbDsD

Mental ill-health is on the rise, and it falls to the trade union movement to spearhead the campaign to reverse this trend.

This short pamphlet is designed to give some guidance to those seeking to improve conditions for mental wellbeing in the workplace.

It has been compiled from numerous sources over the years, including a number of resolutions to the RMT’s annual Health and Safety Advisory Conference and our National Disabled Members’ Advisory Committee.

I am ensuring that hard copies are made available directly to RMT’s Health and Safety Representatives, Industrial Representatives, Branches and Regional Offices. Bulk mailings are also available upon request.

Furthermore, I have sent copies to HR directors in the industries where we have members, encouraging them to give consideration to engaging with RMT colleagues in addressing the themes explored therein.

I encourage all members to study this pamphlet and utilise it as a resource in your activity in the workplace. Any comments and feedback are most welcome.

Yours sincerely

Mick Cash
General Secretary
