GO SOUTH COAST SOCIAL DISTANCING ON BUSES

Further to Head Office Circular NP/189/21 dated 2nd June 2021, your National Executive Committee (NEC) met on 30th June 2021 to discuss a report from its Health and Safety Sub-committee. Following a meeting when the Subcommittee discussed correspondence received from the CPT (Confederation of Passenger Transport), bus operators and the Department of Transport.

At its meeting of 30th June, the NEC noted and adopted the following report of its Health and Safety Sub-committee:

We note correspondence from CPT, bus operators and Department of Transport.

We are concerned that this issue is pertinent to one bus operator only.

We therefore invite the lead officer to provide us with a comprehensive update on the situation on Go South Coast, so that we can then progress accordingly.

I am acting in accordance with this instruction and will keep you advised of developments.

Please bring the contents of this Circular to the attention of relevant members.
