Dear Colleague,

GO SOUTH COAST SOCIAL DISTANCING ON BUSES
Your National Executive Committee (NEC) met on 25th May 2021 when it met to consider correspondence from the Regional Organiser about lack of social distancing on Go South Coast buses. In connection with this the NEC adopted the following resolution:

We note the correspondence on file from the Regional Organiser, for which he is thanked.

The General Secretary is instructed to write to the Department for Transport demanding clear guidance on bus travel and social distancing.

The General Secretary is further instructed to write to the CPT and all bus companies stating RMT’s opposition to the lack of social distancing on buses and demand that all seats by the driver are taken out of use until at least 21st June 2021.

Branches and Regional Councils to be advised.

I am acting in accordance with this instruction and will keep you advised of developments.

Please bring the contents of this Circular to the attention of relevant members.
