Further to Circular NP/266/20, dated 2nd November, I can advise you that this matter was referred by your National Executive Committee (NEC) to the Health and Safety Sub Committee who submitted the following report:

We note report from the Regional Organiser. The General Secretary is instructed to write to Greater Anglia declaring a dispute in this matter with our Guards, Revenue and Catering Grades members and to ballot for action short of a strike.

This was considered by the NEC at its meeting on 26th November, where it made the following decision:

We note and adopt the report of the Health & Safety Sub Committee and ensure that our ballot notice to the employer for action short of strike action is as followed:

Conductors:

Further the General Secretary is instructed to ensure all members are to be advised by text & e-mail with a thorough update and explanation as to why this union is in dispute and this action is required.

Branches & Regional Councils to be informed.

I am acting in accordance with these instructions. In order for members to have a thorough explanation I will be including Circular NP/266/20 in the information I will be sending them.

I will keep you updated on developments in this regard.

Yours sincerely
