GWR TROLLEYS

 

The Office for Rail and Road wrote to me on 18^th June 2020, confirming that its inspector responsible for GWR took the matter up with GWR’s Head of Safety, and received a document which it believes addresses our concerns. Their Inspector will continue to monitor GWR’s progress with the improvements detailed in the document. RMT’s Regional Organiser and local Health and Safety Representative have been part of the Keil Centre independent Risk Assessment; they have been kept informed of the status of recommendations from the report and are involved in ongoing meetings to discuss such recommendations.

 

At its meeting on 25^th June 2020, your NEC noted and adopted the report:

 

That we note the correspondence on file from the company and the ORR.

Accordingly, the General Secretary is instructed to seek an updated report from the Lead Officer and have this matter placed back before this NEC.

 

Relevant Branches and Regional Councils to be advised.

 

I am acting in accordance with these instructions and will keep members appraised of developments.
