LATERAL FLOW TEST AND SSP

FOR THE ATTENTION OF ALL BUS WORKER MEMBERS

The 2021 National Bus Workers’ Industrial Organising Conference carried the following resolution:

We ask that the NEC pushes through with immediate affect with all Bus companies we have negotiating rights with that all bus companies pay for Lateral Flow Tests for all employees.

Due to the rise in Covid yet again and now we have to pay for the tests.

Also to start paying employees instead of forcing them to only receive SSP.

Your National Executive Committee, at its meeting on 12th May 2022, noted and adopted the following repot from its Health and Safety Sub-committee:

We note the resolution from our National Bus Workers’ Industrial Organising Conference, for which it is thanked.

The General Secretary is instructed to enact the points of this resolution and write to all bus companies demanding they pay for employees’ Lateral Flow Tests and place employees on sick leave resulting from testing positive for Covid-19 on full pay rather than just SSP.

I am acting in accordance with these instructions.
