PLEASE RESPOND

LIFEBOAT LEGISLATION CHANGE

Further to Head Office Circular NP/186/19, 8th October 2019 a meeting date has been set for the first meeting of this vital new group. A number of nominations have been received but if your Branch still wishes to nominate for this work then they are still able to do so.

Nominations have been made from Oban Shipping, Liverpool Shipping, Southampton Shipping and Belfast Shipping Branches.

The first meeting will take place at Unity House, 39 Chalton Street, London NW1 1JD at 14:00 on Monday 16th December 2019.

RMT are now committed to establishing a working party of active maritime sector members with an interest in this matter. A first meeting of the working party will take place on 16th December 2019. To this end Shipping Branches are asked to nominate one member per Branch to participate in the working party. Nomination should be made by e-mail to g.hassell@rmt.org.uk no later than Friday 6th December 2019.
