Line Blockages

Referring to Decision No GWW, 15TH December 2015, your National Executive Committee have noted and adopted the following report of their Health and Safety Sub-committee:

“We note with concern that with the specific item of secondary protection there has not been satisfactory progression with this matter for our representatives on the Network Rail Line Blockage Working Group. We further note that the Group has recently had a change of leadership and that a number of workshops are being held to review the entire question of Line Blockages with full representation of RMT.
The General Secretary is instructed to brief our representatives on our demands for secondary protection. Further reports to be placed back in front of this National Executive Committee. This file to be linked to the main file.
Branches and Regional Councils be advised”.
