LLANBRYNMAIR RAIL ACCIDENT 21^ST OCTOBER 2024

            

Your Cambrian branch has submitted the following resolution: 

This branch has received many communications and offers of support from a wide range of people within the RMT in the days following the tragic events which occurred at Llanbrynmair on Monday 21^st October 2024. 

 

This branch would like to express its thanks to all withing the union for the level of concern shown. It has been demonstrated to us how strong comradeship can be at times of difficult and it has been a great comfort to all in the branch whether directly involved or not. 

 

This branch respectfully requests the General Secretary communicates our thanks to all officers, branches and regional councils for their expressions of support, also thanks the General Secretary and the leadership team for their personal interest and involvement.

 

At its meeting on 12^th November 2024 your National Executive Committee adopted the following resolution: 

 

We note and thank our Cambrian Branch for their resolution following the tragic incident at Llanbrynmair involving the collision of two trains leading to a fatality, injuries and damage to the trains and infrastructure. 

 

The Branch wishes to out on record their thanks and comradeship and support provided by the RMT union at National, Regional and Local levels at this difficult time for its members. 

 

We instruct the General Secretary to circulate the contents of the resolution and to communicate the sentiments contained within it. 

 

Members, Branches and Regional Councils to be informed.
