MENOPAUSE POLICY - NEXUS

 

Your National Executive Committee (NEC) met on 15 April 2021 and noted and adopted the following report of its Health and Safety sub-committee:

 

We note the report from the General Secretary.

 

The General Secretary is instructed to write to Nexus to explain that their policy must take more account of the needs of front-line staff and that the policy should state that sickness absence related to the menopause would automatically not count towards MFA (Management for Attendance) and any capability/disciplinary issues.

 

Branches and Regional Councils to be advised.
