Dear Colleague
NATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY ADVISORY CONFERENCE
WEDNESDAY 24TH FEBRUARY 2016
I have received your nomination form for the above named conference and am pleased to confirm the acceptance of your nomination and for your choice of date for the associated training course.
Please find enclosed the Agenda for the event detailing the training programme (and map of the training venue) , the running order of the day and the resolutions for debate.
Also enclosed a new RMT publication “Occupational Cancer – a workplace guide” which provides you with an introduction to the conference theme. It may be useful to you in the training course to obtain copies of any company policies or procedures that relate to the way cancer sufferers are managed in the workplace. Further resources linked to the training can be viewed at: http://www.macmillan.org.uk/information-and-support/organising/work-and-cancer
I have also enclosed a letter to your HR Department which may be useful in terms of obtaining paid release.
The National Health and Safety Advisory Committee have taken the view that on the training course and the day of the Conference itself delegates should behave as if they were at work and respect that the conference is now an alcohol free zone.
Yours sincerely
Mick Cash
