NETWORK RAIL – CONCERNS REGARDING POSSESSION MANAGEMENT DIGITAL TRIALS (PODFLO, CHECKPOINT APP, RELATED SYSTEMS)

 

I write further to head office circular NP/168/25 dated 1^st October 2025.  I have received a report from the lead officer in reference to these trials - in which he explains that there has been lack of meaningful consultation on this matter, meaning we have not been able to raise our concerns as regards the trial. 

 

Given this your NEC (National Executive Committee) met on 6th November 2025 to consider this issue, when they adopted the following report:

 

We note the reports on file from our representatives, for which they are thanked.

 

The General Secretary is instructed to write to ODM members advising them, given that this union has not been fully consulted, not to engage in the activity of Podflo, assuring them that they will receive the full support of the union should they be disadvantaged by the company in any way for nor doing so.

 

I am acting in accordance with these instructions and will keep you advised of developments.
