Network Rail – Electronic Driving Licence Checks
Further to Head Office Circular NP/135/14 17th July 2014, I am writing to advise you of further decisions and developments with this matter. The General Grades Committee have noted and agreed the following proposal and report.
“We note the proposal from Network Rail in which they have recognised our concerns and are now putting in place a new process for those staff who do not wish to have their driving licence checked by the third party supplier. The company have not conceded all our demands but have made enough changes for us to reconsider our position. We instruct the General Secretary to write to Network Rail stating that we are no longer opposed to their proposals.
Branches and Regional Councils be advised.”
I am acting in accordance with these instructions and will keep you informed of any further developments. Please bring the contents of this circular to the attention of all relevant members.
