NETWORK RAIL – MOBILE OPERATIONS MANAGERS (MOMs)

 

MOMs are not part of Modernising Maintenance and should not be being used to cover.

 

At a Safety Consultation on Modernising Maintenance on 20^th February, RMT asked for an answer around MOMs working around Maintenance teams. 

 

Quite often MOMs are taken to be the protection person for the team. They have a safety role for passengers and ops staff. The workload might be missed as there may not be enough people to do response. 

 

There was an action for the Programme team to emphasise that MOMs are not part of maintenance teams.

 

 

Please bring this circular to the attention of all relevant members.
