NETWORK RAIL – ENERPAC STRESSING KIT

 

Further to Circular NP/95/24 (4^th April 2024) I am writing to share our frustration that Network Rail has not effectively made frontline staff aware of the risks identified following on from a recent incident in the East Midlands area using Enerpac Stressing Kits. 

 

I am therefore reiterating our previous advice which is that members should invoke the Work Safe Procedure if they are asked to use this kit prior to any subsequent investigation. 

 

The investigation will make recommendations on the safest method of working whilst stressing/destressing, and which equipment is deemed fit for purpose. 

 

Please bring this circular for the urgent attention of all relevant members.
