NETWORK RAIL PROCEDURAL AGREEMENT

Further to Head Office Circular, NP/306/20, 21 December 2020, regarding the Network Rail Procedural agreement, I am writing with an update as to developments in securing a fully functional procedural agreement within the coming months.

In connection with this a meeting took place on 13th January between Network Rail National Industrial and Safety Representatives from both the Maintenance and Operations sides, the NEC and the RMT Assistant General Secretary. Following this meeting, the RMT NEC adopted the following resolution at its meeting on 14th January:

We note that there is a meeting planned to discuss this issue in mid-January.

Accordingly, the General Secretary is instructed to place a report before this NEC once this meeting has taken place.

Relevant Branches, Regional Councils and Reps to be advised.

I am acting in accordance with this instruction and will keep you advised of developments.
