Dear Colleague
“OH Assist” Occupational Health Service
Concerns have been raised at the National Industrial Organising Conference of Engineering Grades that the new Occupational Health Service Provider for Network Rail – OH Assist, are providing a poor quality service to the company. Conference believes the service is being provided to meet commercial cost process rather than quality of service. This item was then referred to the AGM.
The National Executive Committee have noted and adopted the following report of their Health and Safety Sub-committee:
That we note and support the resolution and are of the view that our members should be treated with dignity and respect as well as receiving high quality OH support.
Noting the intentions of the resolution the GS is instructed to seek examples of poor care and practice from branches and report back to this NEC.
Branches and Regional Councils be advised.
Branches are requested to provide the Health and Safety Section with any evidence to support these claims. I am acting in accordance with this instruction. Please bring the contents of this circular to the attention of relevant members.
PLEASE RESPOND
Yours sincerely
Mick Cash
General Secretary
