Dear Colleague,

P&O FATIGUE WORKING GROUP

With regards to my previous circular on this matter NP/157/18, 22nd August 2018, P&O have now agreed to the terms of reference including representative numbers for the North and Irish Sea sectors.

The matter has been placed infront of your National Executive Committee and they have agreed the following;

“That we note the correspondence on file from the meeting held on Monday 10th September 2018. We note the terms of reference that have been agreed at the meeting and included in this are the agreed numbers of representatives from each sector and the minimum number of meetings to be held annually. We note that currently we have 4 representatives from the Short Sea and 1 from the North Sea Sector. We therefore instruct the General Secretary to;

1. Contact the relevant branches and Lead Officers with responsibilities on the North and Irish Sea Sectors of P&O Ferries and ask for volunteers to fill all RMT positions within this group.

2. To place all further reports and updates back before this NEC.

All Branches and Officers with Maritime spheres of influence to be informed.”

I am in the process of carrying out those decisions.
